Posting these late. Oh well. Honestly it was just another empty Halloween of numbness. Like every holiday and every year. I'm looking for a community of humans I actually belong with. Being alive for 32 years and I don't have any of the connections, the relationships, friends, or true feeling of family that other people have. Nothing I have tried has ever worked out. I am not a person that is fucking "adrift and looking for a lifeboat" or "does nothing with my life" but I a woman that feels like I have no where to turn because my personality and desires in life don't fit into today's world. I feel like I'll never be understood or accepted for who I am, and I don't know how I can ever let go of the sadness and anger that come with that.
If any of these late Halloween party treat ideas look good to you, I've got the recipes now on my blog. Two of the three are fast and simple, especially the "Zombie Floats." Makes up the fact that I'm posting these a few days before Halloween! forgottenwildflowers.com #halloween #halloweenparty #halloweenpartytreats

Glenda is looking pretty banged up and creepy. I thought my garden was basically done, and yesterday I went out and found a ton more tomatoes growing on my Jet Star and even one on my Cherokee Purple, which didn't produce anything all summer. I still see some pole beans, more baby squash are making attempts, and a couple growing bell peppers. Soooo I guess Glenda still has a job to do.
Our neighbor's sunlit Japanese Maple was looking gorgeous today 🍁🔥
I had a very nice lunch and walk around the garden at @groggsgreenbarn yesterday afternoon before a VERY heavy downpour of rain.
